While Pattaya may not be known as a family-oriented resort, that does not mean that there are no things for families to do here. In fact, the town has plenty of entertainments for people of all ages. When you come to stay in a Pattaya apartment, make sure that you tick these things off your list.

Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark

This water park is themed around characters from The Cartoon Network – a bit like Disney World, but just based in the water! This is a lot of fun because there are so many different things to do. There are a playground area that younger kids will enjoy, a lazy river for relaxing and floating, and a wave pool which simulates the ocean's pull. There are also tons and tons of slides – more than 150 slides and attractions are scattered around the park in total.

If you find a Pattaya aparment to rent with good access to the park, you may want to come back for more than one day. It has live shows throughout the day featuring stunts by live actors as well as appearances from the cartoon characters. Kids will love it, and it’s possible to spend a whole day watching shows or a whole day splashing around – so why not do both?

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

This is about 40 minutes from Pattaya by car, so you may be able to find a planned excursion if you stay in a hotel. If you can find Pattaya apartments for rent, monthly stays can be a lot cheaper, even if you add the cost of hiring a car, so you can also travel there yourself.

The attractions include botanical gardens landscaped with beautiful tropical plants, an elephant show in which elephant battles are re-enacted, and a Thai cultural show which will help you to understand more about the country you are visiting. The elephants are also available for rides, so you can experience what it is like to move on top of these massive beasts.

There are lots of other animal attractions too, such as birds, turtles, and other native species. Finally, there is a petting zoo where kids can get up close and personal with some of the animals.

Underwater World Pattaya

Kids always love aquariums, and this one has a lot to offer. It is organized into five zones of different types of sea life, so there is a lot to look at, and you will see more than 5,000 fishes in total. The highlights of the day must be the three feeding times, so plan your visit around them. You can even see sharks and manta rays during these feedings.

Zoos and aquariums are great chances for kids to see wildlife in person, and with the local species being shown off, in particular, it is great for them to see something that they might not ever get the chance to find at home.

The Sanctuary of Truth

Older kids might appreciate the gigantic wooden temple of the Sanctuary of Truth more, but the great news is that kids go free so long as they are under 110cm tall. What more do you need to know? The temple is covered in gorgeous carvings and has been under construction since 1981. Don’t miss the twice-daily dance shows which bring the temple to life.

All of these options are great for families, and we haven’t even mentioned the beach yet. Sunbathing, building sandcastles, splashing in the sea – kids and adults alike have so much to enjoy on Pattaya’s beaches. You might forget to go visit anything else!
